Are cantilever bridges worth considering? I have decay on one of the abutment teeth on a 3-unit bridge.

I have limited money and am considering putting a new crown on the bad tooth and modifying the bridge.

Cantilever bridge is a dental bridge that the missing tooth is supported in one end. Cantilever bridges works on many instances, the most important factor is the health of adjacent teeth supporting the bridge ( whether good bone and long roots?) and the bite or occlusion of the patient.Cantilever bridge can be an interim bridge treatment till the patient have an implant done! We usually evaluate if you are a candidate to receive this bridge treatment in case the missing tooth are on the upper back teeth, and due to proximity of sinus cavity, or other factors, patient does not want to have a dental implant or surgical intervention!
