Will my teeth be buck if I straightening my teeth with Smile Direct Club trays?

Question

I paid for the impression kit, made them, sent them off, and go the approval from Smile Direct. They also sent me the plan video which shows how my teeth will move. That all sounds great, but it looks like my top teeth will end being protruding! See my photos and tell me if I should go ahead with this program. I cannot afford traditional braces or Invisalign. If I don't do this, I won't be doing anything to straighten my teeth. I just don't want to come out with a less attractive mouth.

We can take a look at the progress of your case and in most situations, we can make adjustments that will make you happier with the results.  In some cases, aligners can only move the teeth so much.  In these instances, if the desired result is not attained, conventional braces may be the only solution.

You will definitely end up protruding or flaring your teeth with Smile Direct Club. You cannot do any IPR or tooth thinning to correct your malocclusion because you don't see a doctor. So as a result the aligners will simply flare your teeth. Your treatment looks very minimal so I would suggest speaking with an orthodontist and asking about a clear aligner treatment that only involves around 10 trays. With this route they can most likely work out a price very comparable to Smile Direct Club and you will get a much better and more stable result in return. Best of luck
