What happens if you pull a muscle in your chest with Breast Implants and how long is recovery?

Give it a week and use ibuprofen alternating with aspirin to decrease the inflammation. I'm sure things will resolve if it is exercise related.  Bench pressing and pushup's can be difficult if your implants are under the muscle.  If you have questions after a week or so, then consult with your plastic surgeon.  Best Wishes!!

Thanks for your question. It sounds like you have strained a muscle. This likely would have happened with or without implants. Avoid upper extremity things for a few weeks and then restart with very light weights. You can always get your surgeon to look at it, but it doesn't sound like anything alarming. Best of Luck!

Muscles over your breast implants should act like any other muscle, and this means that sometimes it can be overused or injured.  Similarly, it should recover like any other muscle over a period from days to weeks.  If you are worried about it, call your plastic surgeon and make an appointment to get an exam.  But you should take it easy on the working out for the time being.

STOP all use of that muscle!!! It could take 3 to 6 weeks for recovery of a torn muscle. Also best to see your PS in person for an examination. 

Thank you for your question.  I would suggest that you see your plastic surgeon for an examination.  A simple strain can be managed with ibuprofen and rest and possibly warm compresses.  NextHowever if you have significant swelling and pressure the concern would be a hematoma and this is an emergency.
