Hairloss: is this growth or miniaturizing hair? (Photos)

In  my opinion, the best way to determine whether you have miniaturization or growth is to look at the hairs with a dermatoscope. If there is diversity in size of the shafts greater than 20%, Then you have miniaturization. A biopsy of the area will also give you information to determine which areas are in the growth phase and which are in the resting phase. Find a hair loss expert. Ask to see photos.

Receding hairline is not a hair loss because of ongoing process of androgenetic alopecia but  a simple juvenile type maturing of frontal hair line.  That is seen almost every young boys almost between 16-21 that have a very rounded hairline without recession in the corners.  Recession in the corners is a sign of mature pattern male frontal hair line.

The submitted photos do not allow one to distinguish miniaturization. One really needs to examine the scalp up close via dermoscopy. If one can appreciate a significant proportion of thinner hairs, then one has miniaturization. One can tell hair growth because the ends are pointed.  

I think from the limited views you sent in the photos, that your right side has some early recession. See a doctor who specializes in hair
