Dental crown or porcelain veneer? Not sure crown is best option for front tooth (Photos)

I chipped my front tooth as a child and had to undergo root canal treatment. Eventually the tooth began going dark and so have had internal bleaching performed. This only lasts around a year and so now I am wondering whether a more permanent option such as a crown or veneer would be appropriate. I have seen 4 dentists all of which recommend a crown however I’m not sure this is the best option for a front tooth.
