Feeling the edge of the implant is common, especially in thin tissue. Seeing the edge may be due to several factors- implant or capsule issues, movement, etc.An exam and consultation with your/a plastic surgeon is recommended to evaluate as well as discuss your options and expectations.
Thank you for your question. A photo would be helpful. It may be that you are able to feel your implant which happens sometimes. You should be examined by a plastic surgeon so that a plan of action can be developed.
Hi gmacasey4,Thanks for your question. The ridge could be a number of things and I would follow-up with your board certified plastic surgeon. The most likely cause is a fold in the implant if the area is thin. This is a form of rippling. However, I would get an examination to be sure.Hope this helps!Dr. Evans
Dear gmacasey4,Thank you for your question. The ridge could be a few things; implant shell, muscle edge, scar. Without photos or the chance to evaluate you it would difficult to be specific. I woudl recommend you see your surgeon and be evaluated. hope this helps & good luck.James Sheridan,MD
