I consulted a plastic surgeon because I was thinking fillers for my nasolabial folds, but his opinion for my case is to have threads to my nasolabial folds. Thank you!

Answer: Threads vs. filler My my opinion, based on your photograph you appear to be generally volume depleted. You're more likely to see benefit with fillers in this case, although threads can be used to augment your results. Threads would be an appropriate treatment if you felt you needed lift in your cheeks as well as softening of the nasolabial fold, but it appears your cheek is somewhat deflated and needs volume there as well. So I would probably start with fillers and see how well that works 1st and considerthreads as an adjunctive treatment.

Answer: Thread Lift Thank you for your photo. I recommend using Nova Threads which are dissolvable polydioxanone (PDO) threads made from the same dissolving material as surgical sutures. Nova Threads are placed beneath the skin to provide a support structure for new collagen growth while reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. They don’t migrate or show thru the skin. We use Nova Threads to treat lower face skin laxity and facial wrinkles such as marionette lines, nasolabial folds and laugh lines. For more information please make sure you a get a in person consultation from a board-certified dermatologist.
