Can braces make teeth longer? (photos)

Question

My doctor said it is possible to pull teeth down to make them longer with putting the clips higher on tooth. Is this possible? Will it make the teeth loose? Can I make the two front longer with braces? Or is it done only with veneers? I think they are too short.

Your front two teeth do appear to be worn on the biting edge. It also seems like you are in the very early phases of orthodontics. Allow your orthodontist to get the teeth in their ideal esthetic and functional position and then decide if they are too short. You may find you are happy with the outcome, you may also find yourself wanting several very conservative restorations to add additional length.
