Red dot on my nose for a long time - advice? (photos)

I think its an angioma, and I have had a laser procedure but it didnt seem to work. It just bruised it and then peeled, but its still there. And as you can see, I have reddish marks on my cheeks too. I would really like to get this all dealt with, but especially the nose.

Veingogh would be a worthy technique to consider particularly if your red areas are blanchable on exam. It uses a fine needle and pulse of heat to micro-cauterize any tiny veins or even angiomas if they are present on exam.

For decades, experienced physicians have used a very fine electroepilating needle to successfully treat small hemangiomas, telangiectasias and fine vessel matting. I have been using this approach for over three decades with consistently gratifying results. No need for relatively expensive laser "bells and whistles" whose hard science to back up their use lags woefully behind the heavy marketing to promote them. In the real world, the simplest solutions are most often the best. Make sure to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist. Best of luck.

Angiomas can be effectively treated with a number of laser devices. In my office, we use the Aerolase Neo (Nd:YAG) which is approved for all skin types. Pigment issues may require several treatments. Treatment by a provider trained specifically in the laser devices they are using will provide optimal results with the fewest number of treatments.
