Dear doctors, PLEASE HELP!! I am desperate! I had veneers done on the upper teeth but something is off. I did ask for wider smile and more teeth show. The color is too white, they seen too big. Can drilling of part of my teeth fix this? I want my cute smile back, not this artificial smile, I hate it. Please tell me if you think the drilling of the teeth would resolve this? Many thanks!!
Answer: Unhappy with My Veneers Hi Elma from Pennsylvania ! You have all the right in the world to be unhappy with these veneers. They are too white and large. They are passable but you did not get what you wanted. Somewhere along the line you should have consulted with a few doctors and saw different techniques that make veneers. I think you were looking for a more natural look and a more translucency. Veneers like this are made through a technique called the Feldspathic Method. Look it up online and you will see how natural they look. I would ask the dentist to redo yours and show him what you want. A natural looking smile with translucency. Make sure you know what you before you speak with the dentist!

Answer: Unnatural looking veneers The veneers look too opaque, which makes them look unnatural. Natural teeth have translucency to them, so when the veneers lack translucency, they end up looking fake. I would definitely recommend discussing this with your dentist in great detail and telling him/her that you are not happy. Unforunately, the best way to fix your concerns would be to remove them completely and have them remade. Before they are removed and remade, make sure you have a wax up done and tried in so that you can see if you like the shape/size of them. This will help in determining the design for the new smile. I'd also recommend doing some research and finding a dentist that is very experienced with cosmetic work. Have a consult and talk to some other doctors that have done a lot of cosmetic work and then make a decision about your next steps.

Answer: Veneers In my opinion, your veneers look too opaque which translates into not natural looking. Unfortunately the only way to address this is to remake them. Let you dentist know how you feel, we want our patients to be happy.

Answer: Redo Unfortunately outside of redoing them all, you won’t have another option to address all of your complaints. The brightness or whiteness of the veneers won’t change if you just grind on them to make them shorter. The issue here is I’m not quite sure you knew what you were getting yourself into. Your veneers don’t necessarily look that bad but beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Only what you think it matters. I don’t believe doing anything to this set will or can make you happy. You’ll need to have them redone with your teeth ground down (traditional veneer prep). Your veneers are most likely a “minimal prep” veneers. Also, get feldspathic porcelain veneers and not monolithic pressed veneers.

Answer: Porcelain Veneers Hello,Porcelain veneers should, like all aesthetic procedures, be very similar to a natural smile, bright, alienated and straight. That is why when deciding to perform an aesthetic procedure you should investigate well and choose the most experts in the market and taking into account the video testimony of the patients of said doctor.in your case, there are two options, or you remove your veneers and you make new ones or that the doctor polishes your veneers until you give them the shape you want.
