Help. Used PicoSure for lip liner removal (Photo)

Laser removal of tattooed makeup can be particularly challenging because the inks used are different than the ink for body or decorative tattoos . Often times the patient (and the person applying the tattoo makeup) don't have a good idea of the exact ingredients in the ink. Many of the inks used in tattooed makeup contain iron, which when lasered can oxidize and turn the tattoo into a rusty brown or black color. This is why I don't perform laser tattoo removal of tattooed makeup at my practice. With many repeated laser treatments this oxidized pigment can fade over time, but it will likely take several treatments. This is why it is very important to thoroughly research the provider you choose for any time of laser treatment. 

Darkening of permanent make up with PicoSure is a possibility and that is why I always perform a test spot to see how the ink will respond.  It will take weeks to months for the color to fade, For now, the only option is to use strong concealer over the lip area and have patience. your story is not uncommon. It does not always happen but can definitely happen with Picosure laser treatment of eyebrows and lips etc. 
I have no experience treating the complication since I prefer not to treat this situation.
