I picked on loose skin after phenol/croton oil peel. Any suggestions? (photos)

Lieber Crowly;Picking on loose skin is not wise, because it often incites
bleeding. When the dead skin is ready to
come off, it will. Here in the United
States, patients are commonly treated with antibiotic ointment over the
entire peeled surface until the new skin has presented itself. That's usually three to five days after the
initial deep chemical peel. It's not
necessary to manually pull off the dead skin, even though it looks like it
might be easily removed.
It's not likely you will have any scarring, but the most
important thing is to keep the skin coated with the ointment to prevent
infection which could lead to scarring. It is advisable to see the doctor who performed the procedure. See the doctor often and that is your best protection
against sustaining a complication.

Please keep your fingers off the peeled skin--this means absolutely to picking, scratching, or peeling of the tissues. Unless you're cleaning your face or applying a gentle emollient, your hands should be away; picking and peeling significantly increases your risk of infection and scarring.I recommend you follow-up with your treating provider to make sure you're following his/ her post-peel instructions. Most practitioners will advise a gentle cleanser and emollient  (eg, Aquaphor, Vaseline, silicone preparations) after a deep peel, although care differs widely among peeling practitioners. Keeping peeling skin moist with an emollient allows the crusts to come off gently--without any additional help from curious fingers.  Good luck in your recovery!
