The skin on my chin on both sides of my mouth are extremely dry and no matter what I put on it, it burns. Last night, the only thing I could find to apply (that didn't feel like it was burning) was coconut oil. Today I can tolerate Vaseline on it. The peeling is gone in this area (this is day 5) and I am left with darker skin that feels leathery to the touch and cracks whenever I open my mouth too wide. What else can I do to make sure it stays hydrated and doesn't cause permanent damage?
