If I Gain Weight Will I Mostly Gain in my Butt After Brazilian Butt Lift?

First of all I just want to say thank you to all the doctor that has been answering all my question, it helps a lot. I heard that after Brazilian butt lift and I gain weigh, I will most likely to gain at my butt since there is more fat there and that fat will enlarge if I gain. You see, if I gain weight now it only go to my stomach, never to my thigh or butt. So, if I do get Brazilian butt lift by using the fat from my stomach, back will that fat behave like it use to? Will I only gain in my butt

You will likely gain More in your butt than would have otherwise.

I have performed many Brazilian Butt Lift procedures over the past 13 years. I have seen women return years later who have gained additional weight years after their BBL procedure and have seen significant increase in the size of their buttocks.
I do believe that the grafted fat cells continue to function as normal fat cells do. They increase in size with weight gain and decrease in size with weight loss. If you have more fat cells in your buttocks after having the BBL done, then I would expect you will gain more weight in your buttocks with weight gain than if you hadn't had the procedure. This will not be the only area of gain, but you will see more gain in your buttocks than you ever have before with that same amount of weight gain. So,if you are looking for a larger buttocks DO NOT plan to lose weight after the BBL, because your buttocks will shrink! Lose it before the surgery!

You will also not gain as much in your stomach area after the liposuction of this area because there will not be as many fat cells remaining there to store the fat.

Weight gain after Brazilian buttock lift (augmentation)

{{ voteCount >= 0 ? '+' + (voteCount + 1) : (voteCount + 1) }}

You will likely see your weight gain in a uniform distribution after a fat transfer to the buttock (Brazilian buttock lift).  The weight or fat that you gain after surgery will not necessarily all go to your buttock area, some will.  The rest may be accumulated in your abdomen, thighs, back, arms, etc.  Some people are more prone to collect weight in certain areas (ex. abdomen in your case) however you can not control where your newly gained weight will be deposited.  Also, if you lose weight after this surgery, you may also lose some of the fat/volume from your buttock as well.

Best wishes,

Transplanted fat typically responds the same as other fat.

It’s not unusual for patients to be concerned about what happens when they gain or lose weight following brazilian butt lift surgery.It’s highly probable that transplanted fat cells behave in the same manner in their new location as they did in their previous location.In other words, they will respond to exercise and diet just as they did before.
This means that when patients gain weight following brazilian butt lift surgery, more weight will be gained in the buttock region and less weight will be gained in the donor site areas.When patients lose weight, the exact opposite phenomena will occur.It’s important to realize that weight gain will affect the entire body, but it may affect the buttock in a more pronounced manner.
For these reasons, weight swings can have a dramatic impact on the results of brazilian butt lift surgery.It’s therefore important to avoid significant weight changes following this procedure.

Gain weight increase Butt

If you gain weight (more than 5-10 pounds) and you had a buttocks enhancement from fat grafting, your buttocks will also increase in size.  Fat cells are living cells and respond like other living cells in your body.  Remember that cells generally increase in proportion so other areas in addition to your buttocks will also increase in size.

Good luck and thank you for your question.

If I Gain Weight Will it Change My Brazilian Butt Lift

{{ voteCount >= 0 ? '+' + (voteCount + 1) : (voteCount + 1) }}
Brazilian butt lift (fat transfer to the buttock) is so popular because it enables your plastic surgeon to transform your entire shape. Liposuction is performed over several areas depending on the individual patient needs, but typically of the flanks, abdomen, back and thighs. You currently have a very square shape (which is more common than most people realize).

The liposculpting will allow your surgeon to bring in your hips and waist giving you more of an hour glass figure. You already have some shape to your buttock and this will be able to be enhanced to give you a very attractive buttock.

The butt augmentation is your own fat so it acts like any other part of your body. It will get larger with weight gain and smaller with weight loss. However the fat will not just go to your buttock. It will also go any other area that you still have some fat remaining.

When considering this procedure it is very important that you have your procedure performed by a board certified plastic surgeon.

Weight gain after a Brazilian Butt Lift

The Brazilian butt lift is a safe and effective technique that can improve the contour of your bottom and create a beautiful result. It is a combination of procedures that consists of aggressive liposuction of the abdomen hips and waist and lower back, separation and processing of the fat that has been collected, and strategic grafting to the gluteal area.

The beauty of this procedure is that the final result is 100% you. We can create a beautiful result using just your own tissue and no foreign material. As this is still your fat tissue this will react appropriately when you gain and lose weight. If you gain a significant amount of weight, the fat that has been grafted as well as the fat surrounding it will increase. Likewise, if you lose a large amount of weight. Like most plastic surgeries, the best result is usually obtained when you are at your stable body weight.
For a safe and effective result, make sure that you are working with a plastic surgeon that is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has a great deal of experience in Brazilian butt lift surgery, fat grafting, and liposuction.

Where Will The Fat Go?

Thank you for your question!  If you gain weight your buttocks most likely will get bigger, if you loose weight it will get smaller. The first place you will start to gain weight will be your buttocks but if you were to gain a significant amount of weight it will distribute throughout your body.   Best of luck!

Weight gain after buttock aug

{{ voteCount >= 0 ? '+' + (voteCount + 1) : (voteCount + 1) }}

You will likely see your weight gain everywhere after a Brazilian buttock lift but since there's more living fat there, it will likely grow more there! The reverse could be true as well, so be careful to not lose a bunch of weight!  Best wishes

Where will I gain weight after a Brazilian Butt Lift

{{ voteCount >= 0 ? '+' + (voteCount + 1) : (voteCount + 1) }}

If you gain weight after liposuction or a fat grafting type of butt lift the weight will go where the fat cells are.  I tell my patients that after lipoplasty procedures have settled down they will gain weight uniformly in the areas of fat cells.  I did have one patient who told me that after a tummy tuck and some liposuction that she gained size in her bust and she was ecstatic.  I wouldn't bet on that though!

Hi there-

There is no reason to believe that you would gain "only in" your butt after a Brazilian Butt Lift...

After fat grafting to your buttocks, you are correct that you will have relatively more fat cells in the buttocks area that can collect fatty tissue and enlarge, but you will still have fat cells in other areas of your body as well.

What my patients usually experience with changes in weight is a head to toe gain or loss, with the new shape achieved through the Brazilian Butt Lift being maintained through these gains/losses.
