I am considering all aspects of a potential FUE procedure for a receding hairline. 1. How often does it not work? 2. Are certain patients at a higher risk for failure? 3. How often does it cause existing hairs to fall out? When this happens do they grow back? 4. Are certain patients at a higher risk for existing hairs to fall out after FUE? Thanks in Advance

Answer: Q: FUE failure questions. Hair growth from FUE (and FUT) transplantations are usually very successful if done properly. There are medical conditions that can cause poor results; you will be screened for these during your consult. Loss of native hair can occur but is the exception, not the rule, and the hair typically grows back. Make sure you see a qualified hair restoration physician.

Answer: Success of FUE surgery Hi, FUE where the grafts are extracted by experienced surgeons and planted by experienced techs should have a very low failure rate. Make sure the person doing the surgery is a surgeon, not a technician, and you will improve your chance of success. Unfortunately, many of the FUE surgeries around the world are done by technicians (which is illegal in most states). good luck,Dr. Robert Jones
