I've had root canal and internal bleaching in the past but the tooth after a year has turned yellow again. Should I keep getting internal bleaching or a crown or veneer etc ? I have a gap between my front teeth anyway that I'd like to try and make look better. Thanks

For a correct answer, radiographic studies would be necessary to determine if the root canal treatment of this tooth is in good condition, because although the change in color after a tooth has suffered trauma and necrosis is normal, the fact that it continues to darken over time is indicative...
The hole through with bleaching was done for the tooth should be closed and sealed well after every appointment. The inner dentin gets softer to the food products and acidic foods.
You pose an interesting question. The short answer is yes. As the other dentist suggested the access hole weakens the crown--that said, it would be a more conservative option before replacing the crown. Certainly an option to try. Good luck
