Will my eyelashes grow back if I had on false eyelashes

Question

I have some false eyelashes and they were put on with glue gets hair glue and I try to remove them and it broke off a large pieces of my eyelashes off close to my eyelid. So will my eyelashes grow back?

Most likely, yes. Your lashes will grow back. Unless, they've been damaged which can happen with continual false eyelash use. Latisse can help them grow longer and look fuller which might help as they grow back in. For the future, don't ever remove false eyelashes yourself. Best, Dr. Nazarian

Eyelashes are pretty resilient! If glue gets on the lashes one or two times, and a few fall out there is a very high chance they'll grow back. My patients with repeated use of false eyelashes over months and years can experience permanent loss. Everyone has different sensitivity to irritation from glues - if redness, itching, tenderness and swelling develop - this is a sign that the glues are irritating and potentially damaging the hairs. It's wise to give a long period of rest from false eyelashes.

This is a problem with false lashes and glue, and why we recommend using Latisse. Sometimes the follicle is damaged permanently by false lashes and so they don't regrow. But usually they do.
