Do I need braces first to align the teeth? 20 years ago I removed 5 teeth and aligned the rest of them with braces. Now at 50, they are crowding again. My ultimate goal is to have crowns/veneers. Should I first try to straighten my teeth, and remove a few more-#1/#2 or use IPR to provide more space? Do I need braces at all or the crowns can align them? Due to bruxism, they are getting shorter too. By removing #2, I could get a matching symmetry line? I have to prevent any crowding after having the crowns/veneers put in place.
