How can I get rid of ingrown hair after laser treatment? (photos)

After 2 weeks of my first laser hair removal treatment I started to notice these red bumps on my legs. I have been using a loofah daily and use a scrub. How can I prevent these red bumps (that I assume are ingrown hairs) and get rid of it? Will it leave me with scars?

Every so often, we do see a rash following laser hair removal. This is usually because of irritation of the hair follicles in the treated area, and this can be easily treated with a mild cortisone preparation. I suggest contacting your Dr. for a topical solution. Best, Dr. Emer

Laser hair treatment usually results in the elimination of ingrown hair problems. When you have mild irritation of the hair follicles, an over the counter cortisone cream could help.
