Any time we deliver all porcelain restorations, specially veneers that have a certain translucency we use a "tooth color cement" and sometimes it is difficult to get all the debri off, it is important to have a follow up appointment if you feel this in order to determine if that is what you are feeling. Were you provided with temporary restorations while the lab was working on your final veneers? if not it might be too that you had prep-less veneers that sometimes give more contour (over contour) to the teeth and make them feel bulky, this is a sensation that could describe what you are feeling too.
Feeling some residual bonding cement is not uncommon. Most cosmetic dentists will have their patients return a few days after new veneers were placed to check for any residual bonding cement, do any bite adjustments if necessary, and polish the veneers and especially the back side of the teeth where any cement was probably left. You shouldn't feel much cement after that has been done, but you will most likely feel that the veneers are much smoother than the back sides of your natural teeth. The only way that the dentist could overcome that difference would be to place full crowns rather than porcelain veneers.
It could be saved with root canal, post and core, and crown; but from the look of it, it will not last you long. I would just pull it, and replace it with implant and future crown.
DEfinately change them to thin veneers like lumineers; also if the look big, it might be because you chose a whiter shade which make them look bigger; go half to whole shade yellower. they can not make it bigger horizontally; but they can make it longer vertically; which it can easily be grinded...
You need to definately change the veneers at no extra cost to you; make sure they use a good lab. If you don't change it, you will get cavity around the margins.
