I heard with my hormones being higher it could cause more of a “sunburn”, but I was wondering if it’s safe for baby and myself? Do I tell them to turn down the power? I’m 16 weeks along.
Answer: Laser hair removal and pregnancy It is best to avoid laser hair removal during pregnancy. For one, your hormones are changing so significantly your skin could react differently or it could not work and more hair will grow or change after the pregnancy. Technically it should not penetrate enough to harm the fetus, but I would still wait.

Answer: Laser Hair Removal During Pregnancy Hormone fluctuation of any kind, including pregnancy can cause more hair growth. There is no research indicating that it is not safe to do laser hair removal during pregnancy, however, we generally do not do laser on pregnant women because if something happened to the pregnancy after a laser treatment it would be difficult to decipher it was due to the laser or coincidental timing. Therefore, we err on the side of caution and avoid treating pregnant women with laser.
