Started removal about 3 years ago with a clinic with a Q switch laser. I am now starting up again at a different clinic. My tattoo has faded a bit, but I have noticed some brownish/tan discoloration where its fading. I don’t remember, but Im almost positive there wasn't any white ink used. I heard about how white ink can oxidize and now I'm nervous. Is this brown color normal? Is this from black ink smudging? It changes between orangey- tan and gray depending on the light.

Answer: Understanding Tattoo Discoloration During Q-Switch Laser Removal: Causes and Considerations
Hi, thanks for your question. The best for you and your baby is don't doing any esthetic treatment during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Wait until you end. Good luck!
Hello, thanks for your question. First of all, you should have a complete physical exam to see your skin condition and your tattoo. You may have great results using a Laser system to reach the exact layer of the skin where the tattoo is, without harming the surrounding tissues. Good luck!
The black inks are easier to remove because it absorbs all wavelengths. I would wait at least a month before lasering the area. That black is profound so dont expect a quick removal but unless that ink has substances in there making laser removal more difficult I would think it should come off.
