I have an existing crown on a tooth (#10) that will be extracted and replaced with a dental implant. Tooth broke leaving small residual tooth material for recementing. Has been recemented and after about one year now have root problems (pain/swelling) requiring antibiotic treatment. Dentist recommends dental implant with bone graft (x-ray shows significant bone loss). Modify crown and or abutment for proper fit for cost savings.
