I would like advice on gum lift and lumineers...will it work for me or will I still be showing lots of gums?

Based your photo, I would recommend a gum lift and actual porcelain veneers, not Lumineers.  The reason I say this is because everyone always wants no prep Lumineers, until the Lumineers pop off from time to time.  I would opt for the porcelain veneers because once they are applied, they will easily last another 20-30 years by the time you need them replaced.  Furthermore, the cost of porcelain veneers and Lumineers is about the same.  If you can't find a great dentist in Canada, you may want to consider hopping on a plane and flying to the States.  Good luck and I hope this helps. Since you have ruled out orthognathic surgery, there is a combination of gum/bone recontouring and veneers which would result in a very pleasing result. This could eliminate 70% of the gummy smile. After which, if if felt that it was necessary, you could have a procedure done on the inner aspect of your lip that prevents you from lifting your upper lip as high as you do now. Unfortunately, it may be difficult to find someone that could handle your difficult case in Canada.
