I have a prominent jaw and square shaped chin. I feel like this is not a very feminine look and makes my face look big. Would I be suitable for jaw reduction? I have tried masseter Botox and this didn’t resolve the problem. Thank you!

Assuming that soft tissue descent and excess jowling are not contributing to a square lower face, and that non-surgical treatments such as masseter botulinum toxin have not produced the desired improvement, the underlying jawbone is likely the primary cause of the facial shape. In these cases, jawline reduction surgery can permanently soften the lower face by reshaping the mandibular angle through hidden incisions inside the mouth. By reducing the height and width of the jawbone, the lower face can appear slimmer, softer, and more V-shaped.Because the overlying skin must adapt to the new facial contours, I often recommend combining jawline reduction with a skin-tightening procedure such as Renuvion or FaceTite.
