Having Secret RF while on low dose Roaccutane

Question

I am considering having Secret RF. I have been taking Roaccutane 20 mg od for the last 7 years for neuropathic Rosacea which seems to have cleared up but I am continuing to take it as it keeps my pores small. Will it to be safe to have Secret RF at the higher dose or will i need to take it at the lower dose? Thank you!

The medication you are on does slow down healing and even micro-needling may not heal well.  Ideally, you would stop the medication for at least 6 months before any treatment. I cannot advise doing it while on Roaccutane, but if you find someone (not my med spa) who will do it and you choose to take the risk of not healing well, only use the lowest setting of heat and needle length and test a small area first.

It would be advisable to stop accutane temporarily if going for an RF microneedling treatment, although this advice may vary between providers. The settings of SecretRF may also need to be adjusted to avoid the risk of rosacea flare up
