Lower face protrusion/swelling 8 months post Taylor Liberator, what's your advice? (Photos)

Hi, I had Taylor Liberator subscision around 8 months ago. After the initial swelling went down (about 4-weeks), I was left with lower face swelling. When I feel it, it is soft and slightly squishy. My Dr is insisting it will go away and is just soft tissue swelling/edema, and is treating with steroid injections but I have had about 4 lots of injections with no change to the face swelling. I was wondering if anyone else had thoughts on what it could be/treatment?

I have been performing Field Subcisions for extensive cases of acne scar-related cheek and temple atrophy for about twenty years now with gratifying results. Much more recently a considerably more aggressive form of subcision using the Taylor Liberator has gained some notoriety and I have been seeing patients with a variety of complications as a result of this aggressivity, including cases of prolonged swelling and edema, as well as even more persistent cases of nodule formation and other irregularities believed due to excessive production of fibrous tissue.  I have had success in such cases via intralesional injections, not only of steroids, but an algorithm of varying combinations, amounts and concetnrations of other anti-inflammatory agents. Make sure that you consult with an experienced board certified cosmetic dermatologist. Hope this helps.
