Hair loss - what could this be? (photos)

To properly diagnose hair loss, one needs the full story and to examine your hair up close with trichoscopy and review all your blood tests. I don’t know your whole story from birth to age 29 and I haven’t examined your scalp and I don’t see your blood tests. Therefore, it’s not possible to be 100 % confident in any diagnosis. That said it does appear there is some degree of androgenetic alopecia present. It’s unlikely that there is one condition in the center of the scalp and another in the temples and back. That’s just unlikely. It’s more likely that it’s all the same diagnosis- androgenetic alopecia. Androgenetic alopecoa in women can be diffuse. Any female with hair loss needs blood tests for CBC, TSH, ferritin, B12, vitamin D. If there is any acne or hair growth on the face or irregular periods, other blood tests will also be needed. I would encourage you to see a local specialist who can properly evaluate the cause of hair loss with a full history, physical examination and review of blood tests.
