Hello, there is always a risk of hyperpigmentation with laser hair removal. It is very important that after laser you keep the area out of the sun and wear spf at all times. As a general rule I tell all my clients they should avoid sun exposure two weeks before and two weeks after any type of laser procedure.

Hello and thank you for your question. With laser hair removal it is a possibility to darken even more certain areas (eg. a dark spot/patch). I always tell my patients i prefer to avoid any hyperpigmented area. Also , after laser hair removal always try to use spf at least 50 and avoid direct sunlight. Best , Dr Kipervas

Once you do any kind of skin procedure it is very important to avoid direct sun and apply plenty of sun block. Laser hair removal could reduce pigmentation, but occasionally could make it darker. Again avoid direct sun and apply sunblock gradually gets better.
