Are these normal effects of just 1mg finasteride pill?

I decided to start finnestride to treat my male pattern baldness. I planned on taking 1mg pill for 3 days a week. After taking the first dose at 3.30pm I started to experience erectile dysfunction a few hours later. Its now been a little over 24 hours and the issue still persists. I've decided to stop taking altogether but I'm wondering how long it will take my penis to return to normal, after all I only took one pill?

It takes about 8 hours for finasteride to decrease serum DHT by ~65%. The half life of finasteride is about 8 hours but with daily administration, it takes about 24 hours for DHT to return to normal after stopping finasteride (which is why we have people take it once per day.) So after stopping finasteride, its effects on your body should be resolved within 24 hours. I hope this answers your question.

This is strange- assuming it's the pill- it should be out of your system after a day.  But it is hard for you to have that effect from one pill only.  Did you have ED before? Is it anxiety because you heard that it causes ED? Are you taking other medications, supplements?  Good luck.
