I have been told to use a Stevia-A cream (tretinoin) for my acne. Am I suppose to react this way? (photos)

When I apply it I get a dry, peeling red mark/rash all over my face, feels like it’s burning the spots weep. I have previously used it and stopped using it as it made my face come up with the same reaction. I was then left with darker pigmentation on certain spots, I had stopped for a few months yet they were still there and would flare up (become itchy like eczema). I decided to try the cream again, but after using it once my face reacted like this. I have eczema, and contact dermatitis too.
