Laser hair removal on beard regret. Can I get a transplant?

Had laser hair removal on beard and now I have next to zero hair growing. Deeply regret it, wondering if a transplant is possible on follicles that have experienced LHR? Thank you to any responders.

It's difficult to determine. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hair growth expert. Prp and progesterone may help regrow hair. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Since the follicles are transplanted in this process, it is the perfect choice to re-establish hair growth in the beard area after LHR. You might try PRP and ACell to see if you can stimulate dormant hair follicles to produce hair.

I typically will not treat a man's beard for this very reason. Once the hair follicle is destroyed it will not regenerate and grow hair. There may be enough follicles that were  not treated to give you some growth.  You should talk to a physician who specializes in hair restoration to discuss what your options are.

So in general, most patients who have laser hair removal eventually do regrow hair. Its usually a couple of years down the line. One option you can consider is Platelet rich plasma or PRP. It involves drawing your own blood, spinning it down, and harvesting the platelet rich plasma. Then it will be injected/microneedled into your skin. This same technique is used for hair growth on the head. Not a guarantee, but it should help.
