What should I consider before revision? (Ftm periareolar surgery) 6 months post op. (photos)

I'm 25 yrs old. I had my top surgery (peri-areolar) done before 6 months. I am not happy with the results and the doctor said I only have fat that he will do a liposuction for and then resize my areola after 6 more months. I need an advise about what should I consider before letting him perform any revision and what should I ask him to do because he is not specialized in breast reconstruction. Other doctors in my country dont accept transgendered people, so I can't get second opinion.

IMHO, there is still too much of a breast shape and liposuction alone will not remedy the problem. You are a thin person with very little subcutaneous fat on your chest and back. Therefore the breasts will also have very little fat tissue, just mostly remaining breast gland. Your areola is now larger than before surgery because of the added width of the dark scar; the lower breast fold remains noticeable because the ligamentous fibers have not been released fully.
My recommendation is a full revision with a keyhole approach and nipple grafting.

I would think you could get the liposuction and the areolar reduction at the same time.  The areolar reduction should be done with a GoreTex or Prolene suture which is left in to reduce the risk of the areola spreading again

Hi,Thanks for the post and photos. Looking at how lean you are, it is unlikely that the fullness in your breasts is due to fat. Liposuction will likely not get you the contour you desire and you will need to have that tissue excised. At 6 months that can be done and there is no need to wait until you are 1 year post op. You will also need areolar reduction but I recommend staging this 6 months after your revision to reduce the risk of blood supply issues to your nipple and areola. Sincerely,Dr. Dadvand

If indeed the remaining volume is only fat, then liposuction would be a good way of addressing it. I agree that a minimum of six months should pass before proceeding. Your result looks good, but can hopefully look very good with this small improvement.
