What is the best way to remove scabs after hair transplant as they are not falling off?

Hello, I am currently on day 13 after my hair transplant and still have 90% of the scabs. I have been washing my hair everyday since the transplant using the lotion and shampoo i was given by my clinic but the scabs are not falling off. I heard that if you leave them for too long after day 14 it can impact the hair growth, is that true? What's the best way to remove them would soaking them in baby oil and letting the baby oil sit for a while then washing it be a good idea?

You can use D-panthenol foam or lotion, and leave it for an hour on your scabs, and then you have to do some gently massage to remove the scabs

Hello, Thank you for your question. Washing procedure after hair transplant surgery is one of the important part of post-op care. If you still have scabs, use moisturizer, keep it for 30-50 mins, and then wash your head with shampoo, and gently massage your transplanted part with fingertips. All of the scabs will be moisturized and will be ready to fall off.

These should have been removed both at the surgery and the day after surgery with good washing. Now you can leave a shampoo on your head for 15 minutes and gently rub off the crusts. Repeat this daily until the crusts are all off
