I'm allergic to acrylic. EMA/MMA. I was given a disc from a local lab to test. I taped it to different places on my skin. It left some ugly itchy spots. Considering the all on four implant but I was not sure about the materials used. Any help would be great!!

Answer: Allergy to acrylic If you are allergic to acrylic your best bet is Zirconia as it contains non of the monomers found in denture acrylic. The problem will be with the same day provisional. Ask to get tested with millable PMMA, this is another material that is similar to acrylic but it comes from a pre-produced block of material and is very stable as the majority of hte monomer was converted. Less people have a reaction to this material. If not then you will have to spend 3 months with no teeth as no other material..maybe PEEK, can be used as a temporary.Good luck.
