Is it ok to get Pico Genesis and Fotona4D while getting methotrexate?

Hi, I have an appointment to get laser to manage my melasma, dr usually does a combo of Pico and fotona, but I get 50mg of methotrexate, every other day, every other week (sorry if that’s confusing) to treat GTS, I think I’ll be ok to get the laser treatments but I also conscious - thanks!

Pico LASER can help lighten and eliminate hyperpigmentation from sun damage and some forms of scaring. Following aftercare instructions and staying out of the sun following any Pico (and all LASER treatments) will prevent the hyperpigmentation from worsening.

The three types of Pico lasers you mention are not the same. They are also not vascular lasers. If you are looking to remove redness (or pink scars as in the photos below), then you would want a laser like the Candela V-Beam or another pulsed dye laser as that's the specialty of this kind of...

One of the risks of laser on skins with more pigment is increased pigment. It's definitely distressing to get MORE of what you don't want - or get PIH as an unwanted side effect from treatment for other issues.Pico lasers are a better option than other lasers for those who tend toward hyper...

Thank you for your question and picture. It is very common to have a histamine reaction with PicoGenesis. This should subside within 24-48 hours. You can take a Benedryl to lessen the effects as well as pre-treating before your next appointment to help the reaction as well.
