Can Botox injected for migraines have cosmetic benefits?

Question

I have an appointment with my neurologist to be treated with Botox for migraine prevention. I will need injections every 3 months for at least a year. Is there any chance there will be cosmetic benefits as well decrease in migraines? If not, would it be too much Botox to have a different doctor inject me with botox for cosmetic reasons?

The areas and patterns of injection for Botox when used for migraines and cosmetic reasons are similar.  As a result, Botox injections for migraines may have a cosmetic effect.

Botox is known to relieve the specific nerves in the muscle groups it's injected into. So getting Botox injections for migraines is unlikely to affect wrinkles or change your face's appearance. You can receive both products as long as the total amount does not exceed 400 Units
