When can I have laser hair removal after laparoscopic surgery and Mirena?

Hi, I have had a laparoscopic surgery to remove endometriosis and put the mirena as well. Is it safe to get laser hair removal? I’m planning to do a full brazilian but worried that this may affect the mirena.

Yes you need to stay out of the sun 2 weeks prior, because the laser makes your skin photo sensitive and 2 weeks after because you could burn if you are tan.

Thank you for your question.  You need to wait two weeks before and two weeks after sun exposure in order to have laser to prevent burning.  Always wear spf 50 broad sprectrum and wear a hat when you do go outside if you are having laser treatments on your face.  Exposing your skin to the sun af...
