I have a little loose skin, an umbilical hernia, and separated abdominals. I work out regularly and have greatly improved my shape, but I still get asked if I'm pregnant when I'm full or bloated. I'm not concerned with how my skin looks in a bikini, but how my stomach is shaped when I'm dressed. I have a consult in two months and I think if the PS says I need skin removed I'll chicken out.

Diastasis recti usually causes a protrusion in the weakened area. It looks from your photo that you have a paucity of fat in the adhesion zone between your rectus muscles. It's not bothersome to most, but if you wanted that corrected, a fat graft may be an option.
