Is this dent above my belly button diastasis recti? (Photo)

I have seen posts with sane questions from other women and doctors giving different answers. I have seen people claim it can't be resolved with exercise but can just resolve itself which I don't understand. I don't know what it is but this strange dent above my belly appeared in matter of weeks while I was losing 7 lbs... not a lot.

Diastasis recti usually causes a protrusion in the weakened area.  It looks from your photo that you have a paucity of fat in the adhesion zone between your rectus muscles.  It's not bothersome to most, but if you wanted that corrected, a fat graft may be an option.

diastasis recti is best diagnosed when exerting or pushing out on the abdomen, such as with a sit-up or getting up from flat position. 
If you are thin and muscular you may have a "dent" which is an invagination of the skin in the upper abdomen. This just means you have a midline with very little fat between the fascia and the skin. It does not imply a diastasis.
