I have two side gaps and I am looking to get them, and my front teeth done. Any advice??
Answer: Are my side gaps too large for teeth bonding? For your large gaps in your front teeth, is best if you see orthodontist !Cosmetic dentist can do dental bonding to MINIMIZE the gaps, but if you want to close them completely, your teeth will look too wide and not pleasing to the eye !If you have the time have the invisalign consult which is best in your case, if time is limited and you want it done by few days, ask the cosmetic dentist nearby to show you a mock up, and he can possibly dental bond your teeth without any preparation or drilling to your teeth.Find the cosmetic dentist to do a mock up first ! There might be a charge, but it is well worth it.

Answer: Are my side gaps too large for teeth bonding From your photos, it appears that your teeth are long and narrow. If this is the case, then your teeth are too small for your dental arch, and dental bonding could be an ideal solution for you. It is quick, painless, and much more affordable than porcelain veneers or invisalign. And in your case, Invisalign or braces may not be the correct solution, as there will be spaces created elsewhere if these teeth are moved together. This will require retention with a lingual fixed wire or mesh bonded splint to keep the teeth from moving back to their original position. This works, but it will make flossing more difficult. Invisalign or orthodontics could work if your teeth can be moved inward. By doing this, spaces can be closed. It is best for you to visit a general dentist first for an evaluation of your specific situation. He can explain your options, and then you will be better prepared to make a wise, informed decision. Good luck, and let me know how you make out. I would love to see your "after" photos!Dr. Gary Braunstein

Answer: Gaps Your spaces are not too large, but your teeth are not straight to begin with and good quality bonding by a cosmetic dentist would cost quite a bit and would have to be replaced many times over your lifetime. Better to simply have something like Invisalign and close the gaps. There's no dentistry like no dentistry. Never has to be replaced.
