Started 10 sessions of Venus Freeze. Do I need to start over with my session due to missing 3 weeks in a row?

I started 10 sessions Venus Freeze for cellulite on my thighs. Did 1st 3 sessions, 1 each wk 7. 3 weeks in a row the place i go cancelled. Missing 1 week I wasn't concerned, missing the 2nd week I became concerned & now the 3rd week in a row I am very concerned this will mess up the results. This is expensive & I don't want them to just give me a flippant answer " it will be fine". Will I need to start again to get the expected/intended results?

Hi and thank you for your question! Generally speaking, while we encourage the patients to stick to a regular treatment schedule for Venus Freeze, you should not be concerned if you miss a few weeks here or there. The key in seeing good results is following the manufacturer protocol to make sure the treated area is reaching the right temperature. Once that is achieved, the magic starts working as fibroblasts are activated and they start making more collagen, while the fat cells are destroyed. Increasing the intervals between the treatments form time to time is not going to change that much in my opinion. I hope it help and good luck!

Keep in mind, a combination approach would give the most improvement, but won't cure cellulite completely. Cellfina itself is the best treatment we have for cellulite but works best in combination with Sculptra, and body treatments like Venus Legacy/Exilis Ultra, Cellutone/Zwave. A VASER HI DEF procedure can be done for more contouring and smoothing, if you're a candidate. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
