While dental bonding can be removed, tooth sensitivity may result as enamel will undoubtedly come off with it so it is generally only recommended in order to go with an alternative to  dental bonding.

It is possible to safely remove the bonding but first it's important to answer these questions.  What is the reason you had the teeth splinted together, and what is the reason you want to have it removed?  If you would like to discuss your options make sure you go see your dentist and discuss this with him/her.

Hi:In most cases of using bonding to splint teeth, it can be safely removed.  However the main issue to be considered is to make sure there is no dentin exposure due to removal of the bonding that would cause sensitivity or compromise the tooth  afterwards.Best,Dr. Maddahi
