I am having SAFE lipo of my inner and out thighs and flanks in 2 weeks. Since I am already paying for lipo and the OR fees etc is it too much more expensive to ask to have some if the fat transferred to my breasts? I had a breast augmentation about 10 years ago, and I've a,ways regretted not going a bit bigger. Can't the lipo suctioned fat be used for this?
Answer: Fat transfer Dear klaber, fat transfer breast augmentation is a viable alternative for women who desire larger breasts without the use of implants. Fat transfer is also widely used in reconstruction of the breast after a mastectomy or lumpectomy. It can also be very effective in correcting the size and shape of the breasts due to genetic problems such as tuberous breast or Poland Syndrome, two conditions that look like misshapen or underdeveloped breasts. In addition, the following scenarios are also reason to consider breast fat grafting:• If you have chest areas that appear creased and sunken• If you desire more permanent correction than is provided by temporary fillers• If you wish to improve your body contour, revise scars, fill bodily depressions and rejuvenate the natural curve of your breasts• To fill in contour irregularities or hide obvious signs of breast implantsYou should discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon and make sure your surgeon understands your concerns and your breast augmentation goals. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: SAFELipo Thank you for your question and doing your homework with RealSelf. SAFELipo is a great technique and produces excellent quality of fat for transfer to other areas of the body. If you are considering adding fat grafting to the breast to your procedure, be sure to talk with your surgeon and the patient coordinator well ahead of your procedure since you will incur some additional costs for anesthesia and facility time. Fat grafting is a safe and consistent way to subtly add to your already nice results - best wishes on a speedy recovery!

Answer: Fat transfer to my breasts? Thank you for your question. One may incorporate fat transfer at the time of liposuction. It adds more time to the procedure. Please discuss this with your surgeon. Good luck.

Answer: I am having SAFELipo of my hips, thighs, and flank in 2 weeks. I am curious about a fat transfer to my breasts? Thanks for the question. SAFELipo is a good technique for the contouring/liposuction side of surgery as well as a good technique for harvesting fat that remains viable for fat transfer. I have not had problems using fat that has been harvested with SAFELipo. Obviously, you will need to bring this new idea up with your plastic surgeon. I suggest contacting her as soon as you can to discuss this additional procedure. Good luck.
