I've been told to expect some redness. Do I need specific products post-procedure so I won't aggravate my skin?
Answer: Skincare post LaseMD The facility that performs your LaseMD treatment can constitute a skin serum ampule for you to use after your treatment (Vit C, Vit A, TA, Reservatrol). The laser tech or Dr. performing the treatment will assess your skin and decide which ampule is best to use on your skin. In our clinic, we advise using the ampule multiple times daily along with a gentle cleanser, moisturizer and physical sunscreen. We advise not re-starting medical grade skincare until 1 week post treatment. Keeping the freshly lasered skin clean, medicated with the skincare serum ampule, moisturized and protected from the sun will ensure proper dermal healing. --CeraVe is an easily assessibly over the counter 'gentle' skincare line

Answer: Recommend Elevase, Spectrase, Melapads and Hydrase as a skin care routine after LaseMD. Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery.
