5 months after septoplasty, my condition is worse than before

Question

I had a minor deviation of nasal septum and some small cysts in sinuses. The surgeon said that the cysts are not a issue and only septum deviation should be fixed. The intervention went well but it seems that the wounds haven't healed completely even after 5 months. One nostril which was affected by septum deviation is still filled with mucus in the morning and I started to feel some pain in the left part of the nose. I use saline sprays for a long time and 0 effect.

Thank you for your question and I am sorry to hear that your condition is worse than before.  I recommend seeing your surgeon for a reevaluation as you are likely well-healed from your operation.  Persistent drainage after your surgery may be related to an underlying inflammatory condition (i.e. chronic allergic rhinitis) that would not be addressed with surgery alone.
