Is it possible to have all on four implants and underbite jaw correction surgery at the same time?

I have an underbite I would like to correct, but I also have many failing teeth. I have searched and searched but have been unable to find a case where someone has had both done.

If you are undergoing All on 4 implant procedure on both jaws, the under bite issue will be taken care during the surgery and also while fabricating the prosthesis. You will not have an under bite issue if the procedures are performed by experienced hands.

While it may be POSSIBLE to do jaw advancement surgery at the same time as the "all on four" or "all on X" treatment, it is generally not advised.  Both procedures are complex and taxing on the body, with their own set of potential complications.  With so many things to manage, it may be difficult to handle simultaneously.  It is also possible that "all on X" is all that is really needed, and the jaw advancement can be avoided.  I would suggest talking to surgeons that are experienced in each modality and after talking to a few, decide the correct approach.

Great Question! Depending upon the severity of the underbite, the all on four dental implants procedure could help the situation.  If you have many failing teeth on the upper and lower jaws, then when the All on four is performed the bite relationship between the upper and lower jaws could be improved.  Ideally if just one surgery could fix the failing teeth and the underbite, that would be the best option.
