Sudden black mole on my arm (Photo)

Question

I was wondering if this is serious, I've had this mark for less than a month. At first it was reddish in color and has darkened since. Area around black part is very pink. I scratched it and it bled a small amount and then quickly healed. Since then the are has had almost a tingly feeling to it.

On your fair skin, I would be concerned about any dark mole that 'pops up' within a short period of time. Being conservative is worth the extra few steps in seeing a doctor. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles

HelloThank you for your question and photos!  This lesion could very well be just a simple angioma which is a collection of blood that has come to the surface.  Some times these lesions may appear red in color or they could appear a dark burgundy color.  The only way to be sure is to have your Dermatologist look at this lesion with a in person consult.
