Can dental mould (impression) loosen crowns and veneers?

Hello. I have some crowns and veneers in my upper front teeth. I'm scheduled to have my dental mould (impression?) for a new crown (cheek side). Can this procedure (mould impression) loosen my crowns and veneers making the teeth more susceptible to tooth decay? Will it also loosen my new white fillings? TIA

In most cases teeth can be crowned many times as long as the dentist is careful to conserve tooth structure.  I have had my front teeth crowned 4 times in 25 years.  So you should be fine.  Let you dentist know your concerns and I am sure they will set your mind at ease....

If the tooth had a root canal you will not be in any pain with it off so in that sense there is no rush. But it is best to have it placed back on as soon as you can. A good tip is to use fixodent (denture adhesive) to place it back in yourself if you can. Sometimes the orientation makes it...
