Would more filler be appropriate for a better profile?

I am very insecure about my side profile and chin area. I got 1 syringe in my chin and I’m not sure if it’s worth getting more or trying another type of cosmetic treatment. I am a bit weary on getting surgery. I have a gummy smile, overbite, and receeded chin.

I completely understand why you may feel insecure about your side profile, especially when you’re noticing the chin, overbite, and gummy smile together. These features can affect the overall balance of the lower face, so it’s not necessarily just about the amount of chin filler.
Since you’ve already had 1 syringe of chin filler, adding more may improve projection and definition if there is still room to build the chin safely. However, more filler isn’t always the best solution. There is a point where adding additional volume can make the chin look heavier rather than creating a more balanced profile.
Because you mention having a receded chin and overbite, part of the profile concern may be related to the underlying jaw and dental structure. Filler can camouflage or soften some of that imbalance, but it cannot correct the underlying bite or jaw position. Your gummy smile may also have a separate contributing factor, depending on whether it is related to the lips, gums, teeth, or jaw.
If you are hesitant about surgery, that is completely understandable. A conservative approach would generally be to focus on facial balance rather than simply adding more filler. Depending on your anatomy, options such as carefully placed chin/jawline filler or other nonsurgical treatments may provide improvement, but I would be cautious about continuing to add filler without reassessing the overall proportions first.
For someone with a noticeable overbite and recessed chin, an orthodontic or oral/maxillofacial evaluation can also be valuable because it can clarify how much of the profile is coming from the teeth versus the underlying jaw structure.
Most importantly, you don't necessarily need to "fix" everything at once. The goal should be a subtle improvement that makes your profile feel more balanced and natural, rather than chasing projection with progressively more filler.

I encourage you to meet with an experienced injector to discuss your concerns.  Filler is a great tool to help define facial contours.  Botox can be used to improve a gummy smile.  While these treatment results are temporary many prefer them as an option that provides satisfying results without the need for surgery.
